Try the pair with your everyday frames
Put on the glasses you actually use, not only the pair that looks best with the earrings. Turn your head and check how the two shapes sit together. A large frame and a large earring can work, but you may prefer one to be the clearer feature.
Small studs provide a quiet option. Hoops or drops add movement. These are choices about the effect you enjoy, rather than rules attached to face shapes.
Notice the practical contact points
Check whether a long earring touches the glasses arm, catches in your hair or knocks against a scarf. Put the glasses on and take them off once. Jewellery that gets in the way of a movement you repeat throughout the day may become irritating.
If you wear headphones, try those as well. A comfortable combination at breakfast can feel different during a long call. Choose the earrings around the activities ahead rather than expecting one pair to suit everything.
Let other details stay optional
A necklace is not required to complete the arrangement. Compare the outfit with and without one, especially when the top has a patterned collar or the glasses have a strong colour. Hair worn up or down also changes how much of the earrings is visible.
Use earrings with secure, comfortable fastenings and stop wearing a pair that causes irritation. Keep a small storage place for the pair you remove during the day so it does not end up loose in a bag or beside the sink.
